GHRP-6 was one of the first synthetic GH secretagogues developed. It stimulates strong GH release but also significantly increases appetite through ghrelin receptor activation.

Mechanism of Action

Activates GHS-R1a receptors in the pituitary and hypothalamus. Stimulates GH release, increases appetite via ghrelin-like activity, and promotes gastric motility.

Benefits

  • Strong GH release demonstrated in human trials[1]
  • Significant appetite stimulation[1]
  • Neuroprotective properties explored[1]
  • May support cardiac function[1]

GHRP-6 - Dosing in Published Research

Reported routes: Subcutaneous injection, Intravenous
Clinical studies used 1-2 mcg/kg IV or SC. Research protocols typically dose 100 mcg SC 2-3 times daily.

The dosing information above is sourced from published research literature and clinical trials. These are not recommendations. Individual responses vary. Always consult a healthcare provider before considering any peptide-based therapy.

Side Effects

  • Intense hunger and appetite increase[1]
  • Elevated cortisol[1]
  • Water retention[1]
  • Potential blood sugar fluctuations[1]
  • Flushing[1]
