GHRP-2
BHuman StudiesGrowth hormone releasing peptide · 6 amino acids
GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide growth hormone secretagogue. It is one of the most potent GHRPs and has been used in clinical research for GH deficiency diagnosis.
Mechanism of Action
Binds ghrelin/GHS receptors in the pituitary and hypothalamus, stimulating GH release. Also stimulates appetite and increases cortisol and prolactin (less selective than ipamorelin).
Benefits
- Potent GH release in human subjects
- Used diagnostically for GH deficiency assessment
- Increases appetite and food intake
- Improved sleep quality in some studies
Side Effects
- Increased appetite and hunger
- Elevated cortisol levels
- Elevated prolactin levels
- Water retention
- Flushing
