France regulates medicines through ANSM under the Code de la Santé Publique (CSP). GLP-1 agonists are EMA-authorized and available by prescription. France has strict rules on online pharmacy sales — only physical pharmacies with an online authorization may sell medicines online. Telehealth prescribing is permitted but requires at least one prior in-person consultation.

Semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus), tirzepatide (Mounjaro), liraglutide (Saxenda) — EMA-authorized, prescription-only (liste I). HAS (Haute Autorité de Santé) determines reimbursement. Weight loss medications typically not reimbursed.
Research / Unapproved
BPC-157, TB-500, GHRPs — no AMM (autorisation de mise sur le marché). Sale for human use is illegal under CSP. ANSM monitors unauthorized products and may issue rappels (recalls).
Banned / Restricted
Medicines without AMM. ANSM maintains vigilance on unauthorized products. Douanes (customs) may seize unapproved imports.
